About this unit
Why do we need to learn about cells? The cell is fundamental to all life. All diseases, for example, Alzheimer’s, dengue, diabetes, cancer, TB, etc., are caused at the cellular level. Understanding how the cell works helps us find better treatments for diseases. Besides diseases, there are many other applications of cell biology.
