- Why do some objects have circular orbits and some have elliptical orbits.(0 votes)
- at the apoapsis, if you burn in the direction of the orbit(prograde), you increase the periapsis' distance from earth(assuming that is what are are orbiting). when the periapsis' distance from earth is the same as apoapsis' distance from earth it is circular(but not perfectly)(0 votes)
- how does an object stay in orbit and not hit another object in the same orbit(0 votes)
- Very very rarely do objects have the same exact orbit, there's so much space up there, there's no reason to have objects in the same orbit. For the few that are in the same orbit, they are generally like that on purpose (see starlink by spacex) and therefore all travel at the same velocity such that they will never collide.(0 votes)
