- Do scientists have any idea on how often these large solar flares occur?(1 vote)
- An average of every 11 years, the sun enters solar maximum, which is a peak of sun spot activity. During that period, CME's and solar flares tend to be more active. But solar flares can occur at any time, but are less frequent during periods of solar minimum.(5 votes)
- Wow. I never knew that there was this mega huge storm that could maybe affect the Earth which happened before. Because I thought only the pros of the Sun and never knew that how dangerous things could be with technology, the atmosphere, and for the Earth.(2 votes)
- After the massive solar flare (), did a lot of people get radiation poisoning from the massive amount of solar (and radioactive!) energy? 0:40(1 vote)
- No, we are protected by Earth's magnetic field, which diverts most solar radiation around the planet.(2 votes)
- Does that mean we have to stop using electricity because if we had a solar storm it would make severe damage?(1 vote)
