- Does the fluorine have lone pairs? So it must have resonance too, right?(1 vote)
- Fluorine is the Most Electronegative Element. So, even if it has lone pairs, as long as there are no more than 8 electrons with it, it will try to keep them with itself. It can't have more than 8 electrons because of its position on periodic table i.e., Second Period as it has no vacant d orbital.
