Advanced Placement courses
We have resources to support students in many Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Click one of the links below to take a look around.
Aligned curricula
We have curated our resources to align with the Eureka Math / EngageNY curriculum.
Read more about how to use our resources for remediation or on-grade support.
We have also created materials to enable personalized practice alongside the new Illustrative Mathematics curriculum. We worked with the experts at Illustrative Mathematics to create the best possible alignment of our materials to the IM curriculum.
Standards
Common Core State Standards for mathematics
All of our math exercises are mapped to the K–12 Common Core State Standards for mathematics. You can search for a standard and find aligned content at www.khanacademy.org/commoncore.
To ensure our materials are rigorous and fully aligned to the CCSS, we worked with organizations involved in the design and assessment of the standards themselves.
Advanced Placement standards
All of our AP courses are created to help teachers find content to use in their classes and to help learners prepare for their exams.
We've aligned several of our AP courses directly to the College Board's Course and Exam Descriptions. You can explore these alignment mappings here:
SAT standards
We partnered with College Board, the makers of the SAT, to create Official SAT Practice. Our content is aligned to the skills students will need for the SAT and similar to what they will see on test day.
Studying for the SAT for 20 hours on Khan Academy’s free Official SAT Practice is associated with an average score gain of 115 points. That’s nearly double the average score gain compared to students who don’t use our free test prep. Read more about the full study.
Growth mindset activities
Our Growth Mindset Activities are designed to help your students build growth mindsets and develop learning strategies to start the school year strong. Developed in partnership with PERTS, a Stanford center that builds on the research done by Carol Dweck, the mindset activities are fun and age appropriate, providing a structured way for students to explore the science behind the idea that 'You can learn anything'.
Read more about our Growth Mindset Activities for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Content Creators

- What is the difference between Khan Academy's "Biology" and "High school Biology" classes? Thanks!(29 votes)
- I have seen a few differences in content. I am trying to use both at the moment. it would be nice if Khan academy can merge the two or tell us the differences.(4 votes)
- Howcome there is no middle school science courses?(11 votes)
- Do you have language courses?(7 votes)
- AP courses:
When I try to add an AP course to my designated class, the AP courses are not displayed for selection. Therefore, I'm currently unable to add an AP course to a class. What's going on?
I used to be able to do that. I'm currently using a Mac with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 with Chrome or Safari or Firefox(7 votes) - I teach in Texas and we do not use Common Core State Standards, we use TEKS. Are the TKES available and if so, where can I find them?(7 votes)
- Mathematics 1, 2, and 3 are listed as courses here, but I cannot assign these as missions to my classes. I teach at a school where we are using the Common Core integrated curriculum, so Algebra 1/Geometry/Algebra 2 is not relevant to my students. Last year I was able to assign the Mathematics 1/2/3 as missions to my classes but it seems that is no longer an option?!(4 votes)
- Do you have middle school science content?(4 votes)
- WHAT ABOUT WRITING? I know they have grammar, but writing is a very important skill to have. Without it, you wouldn't do well in school. Hopefully, they are creating a program for it. Also, I was doing Pixar in a box and it's totally friendly for Elementary school kids like me. And they need more courses for K-5. All they have is math. They need more. Like, for example, science, reading, art, history, and as I said earlier, writing. So, hopefully, Khan Academy will read this and do something.(4 votes)
- Hello the AP statistics class is not listed in the courses section when i try and import content in the class is anyone else having this trouble?(2 votes)
- HI there
I would like to find out, apart from the math, what are the other subject's standards aligned against? I see math is with Louisiana Dept of Education. What are the subjects like science, history and technology aligned with?(2 votes)
