# Geometric constructions: congruent angles

We can construct congruent angles with a compass and straight edge. They're congruent corresponding angles of congruent triangles.

• I really just don't underdstand like any geometry. Do you know something I could do to help me understand geometry more?
• You are not giving yourself much credit along with not giving us much of a chance to help you. I am sure you know your shapes such as squares, triangles, rectangles, etc. You know what a side and what an angle is. One way to understand it better is to have a glossary of geometry vocabulary words, or even better to create your own glossary because this reinforces your learning.
• I very much struggle with proofs. I don't quite understand what all of the theorems, converse, and definitions mean, and despite my teacher's effort to gift that knowledge to me, I still haven't gotten it. Is there anything I can do to help me understand them better?
• Try writing the all the stuff you can't learn on flashcards and memorize them! This can be hard sometimes, but I find that if you memorize formulas, terms and definitions, and such, when you are presented with a problem, you will know what to do!
Hope this helps!

• Is there a way to do this without a "compass"?
Because I currently don't have one, it would be helpful to know how to do it without one.
• You can use a protractor or any perfectly circular object. However, many things can be done with a compass that cannot be done with protractor, such as preserving angles and the distances between them. Forgive me if I'm wrong, and I hope this helps.
• At , how does the arc tell us that the distance between the line segment AC is equivalent to the distance between AB?
I think i missed something.

• I'm still very confused. Does anyone know how to simplify it?
