• why do we round five up
• It makes sense logically. If you think about it, there are 10 possible digits- 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. If you count, there are two sets of five digits- five in the first half, (0, 1, 2, 3, 4,) and five in the second, (5, 6, 7, 8, 9.) As the first five digits are closer to a lower number, for example, 3.4 is closer to 3, but 3.7 is closer to 4, the other five digits, 5-9, are closer to the higher number.
