# Measuring angles review

CCSS Math: 4.MD.C.6

Review measuring angles with a protractor, then try some practice problems.

## Measuring angles

Angles are measured in degrees. We can use a protractor to measure how many degrees an angle is.

**Example:**

Measure the following angle in degrees:

First, we line up the dot on the center of the protractor with the vertex of the angle.

Next, we rotate the protractor so that the $0^{\circ}$ mark lines up with one side of the angle.

Finally, we read the protractor to see where the other side lines up.

**The angle is $70{^\circ}$.**
