- With my dad's income, I was not qualified to receive any financial aid. From there I decided to go out and look for scholarships. I've been very fortunate enough to receive enough to where I'm able to pay at least 80% of my college costs. My process about looking for scholarships was going out and just talking to people. Talking to teachers, talking to college counselors, talking to employers. Just going around and talking to people, networking, being able to ask for help. A lot of people know other people who're willing to help out, help you look for scholarships. Going on the web; just click in and Google scholarships. I would encourage everyone to go out, no matter your financial situation, scholarships can provide you great resources, great mentors, additonal assitance.
