- How could good neighbors be the ones with fences... because it makes more sence if you don't have a fence you have trust in your neighbor and each other(4 votes)
- Try this in a geographical sense. When there's a weak border between two countries, one of them is likely to invade the other or try at least. This will eventually destroy the relationships between them. In contrast, when there's a strong border the countries will stay close to each other as "neighbours" and help each other in many ways.(27 votes)
- Good fences does not always make good neighbors because your can have a rotten rich jerk living next to you with a expensive fence.(13 votes)
- This is a weird question and is somewhat more related to grammar. How is "neighbor" and "neighbour" different?(6 votes)
- "Neighbor" and "neighbour" aren't very different. "Neighbor" is predominately used in the US, while "Neighbour" is predominantly used in British English. Other then that, "Neighbor" and "Neighbour" are practically the same things.(10 votes)

- Hey! I think that going over this unit will be beneficial for you in order to get some comprehension, vocabulary, and writing practice and skills. But just in case if you're struggling when you get to school, know that there are people who can help you, like your teachers and fellow peers. Despite the other struggles that comes with being new to America (you'll find out) always tell yourself to keep going. NOTHING is stopping you from being the most successful person you can be. Have a great school year!(6 votes)

- do fences make good neighbours?(3 votes)
- Generally yes, I believe so, and I'll explain this with the concept of a boundary of authority.
You personally have a boundary of authority in your life. You (usually ;) let your parents, teachers, etc. tell you what to do, even if you're reluctant about it, but you don't just obey anyone who tells you to do something. A random person telling you what to do would be overstepping the authority boundary in your life (acting like they have authority when they don't).
On a much larger scale, countries have boundaries of authority. If all of a sudden the boundary between two countries disappeared, there would be an authority crisis. What if the two countries' rules were incompatible? Which would take precedence over the other one? More generally, which country would be in charge? How would you go about melding the governmental systems? Suffice to say, it would be a political and legal nightmare.
Good fences make good neighbors because then we all know who is under what jurisdiction. We can have agreed foreign policy between countries, but each country can govern itself in the way it sees fit (or each kid can listen to their own mother instead of the five other mothers on the block).
Hope that helped!(6 votes)
