- the sensor that is being used can (and is )be used as a light sensor!(2 votes)
- Is this a light sensor connected to a sound system?(2 votes)
- The light sensor data wires were likely used to control the sound output, of a speaker. There is a video game, which uses this principle. I suspect that, in people, this "wire-cross" is the neurological condition synesthesia.(5 votes)
- thats soooooooo cooool, how do we do that at home? Also how do you even know when or what noise it will make?(3 votes)

- The brighter the light the higher the pitch, the lower the light the lower the pitch.(4 votes)
- how is making the sounds with the flashlight(3 votes)
- Hello Legoboy,
Sorry I have not personally programmed a LEGO mindstorm but I can tell you a few things.
Sensor: The design features a light sensor that has an output that varies with the intensity of the light.
Computer: A computer has been programmed to read the sensor and respond by changing the frequency of a tone - this is likely a few lines of code.
Speaker: The computer is connected to a speaker that produces the audible tones.
