Lesson 1: Get ready to make your webpages interactiveReview HTML/CSS
You should review each of these HTML/CSS concepts, which you can do here on Khan Academy in our Intro to HTML/CSS course:
You could also check out the documentation tab below your project, where everything covered in our intro course can be found.
You can check how well you remember everything in the quiz up next.

- When did we ever use
text
in HTML/CSS? All I remember were<p>, <heading>
and others.(29 votes)- She doesn't mean text as a keyword. She's referring to (basic) text tags. If you click the link, it should tell you about the basic text tags, and the "You can learn text tags" challenge immediately following should test you on it.
We also didn't use "image" or "links" in the lessons, but we did use HTML tags for them. (the <img> and <a> tags, specifically).(60 votes)
- Where do you actually write HTML/CSS if your not using khan academy(8 votes)
- You can write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a text editor like Notepad and a browser for viewing your work.(8 votes)
- How do I make A login box function with JS?(4 votes)
- it a very complicated thing to make
I recommend reading this guide on w3shools
https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_login_form.asp(6 votes)
- It sounds realy cool, but i dont now how it works, could you explain how it works better?(2 votes)
- You can review it here: https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/computer-programming
Also:
HTML is for the content of the webpage like texts, images, etc...
CSS is for the styling like the color, alignment, etc...
JS is for the functions of the webpage like what happens when you click a button, etc...
Hope it helps!(1 vote)
- Are the ellipse function, rect function, and so on already programmed on khan? How would you create these functions. Whats the code?(2 votes)
- Those functions are provided by the Processing.js library which Khan Academy graciously loads for us. Elsewhere you will most likely have to include that library yourself. Follow this recipe: https://www.khanacademy.org/computer-programming/processingjs-inside-webpages-template/5157014494511104(5 votes)
- for these HTML and is there any easy way to explain cuz I cannot understand most of the stuff.(3 votes)
- How do I make A login box function with JS?(3 votes)
- That is very challenging. Just keep goin' through the course!(1 vote)
- We are learning html 4 or 5(1 vote)
- In Khan Academy, we learn the most up-to-date version of coding languages, so here we're learning HTML5.(2 votes)
- Hello everyone,
I am trying to make a text adventure or text based RPG using HTML, CSS, Javascript, please help! I am not able to find anyway to do it!
thanks for your answer(1 vote)- If you didn't notice, I answered you exactly one minute and thirty seconds after you asked the question the first time. After re-reading your question, I realized I could've been much more specific. Using the input tag and a couple of event listeners, you can make a functioning input system. From there, you'd need to write an interpreter for the input text (in JS), and a game engine (also in JS). HTML and CSS can be applied fairly easily before the JS is put into place, only requiring one input tag, and a few CSS rules for font, font color, etc. I could write you a demo, but that would likely take a few hours.(2 votes)
- What are code elements ? <code>push</code> or <code>selectALL</code>(1 vote)
<code>
is a section of a webpage containing text written in some kind of programming language (HTML, JavaScript, C++, etc.). Tagging something as code helps preserve the whitespace and prevents the browser from interpreting it as part of the HTML of the current page, which is particularly handy if the purpose of the webpage is to teach people how to write HTML. Other languages are also protected from mangling, e.g. the less-than and greater-than operators in most languages are not interpreted as HTML tags.<pre>
is a related concept, albeit it's intended for things that are not code.(2 votes)
