- Can Machine Learning recognize and learn emotions?(5 votes)
- Definitely it can. With the fast evolvement in technologies, it can be possible for AI to learn emotions.
For instance, ask chatGPT, what is it meant to be happy? Or, what makes a person happy? or how to recognize a person is happy?
This prompt will give you a solid idea that nowadays AI has already recognized some emotions.(5 votes)
- I think there’s a difference between Machine Learning and AI, right?(5 votes)
- Machine Learning is a subfield of AI that enables computer to learn from data and make decisions for tasks that it hasn't been explicitly programmed to perform.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_learning
Wikipedia has an excellent write up for it.(3 votes)
- do you think there is someone that will try to make them turn against us(3 votes)
- There is no "them". You're misunderstanding AI. AI a general term for a program that can learn and act on what it learns, with guidelines that we set. People could create AI to commit crime, because it could be so much smarter than us, but I highly doubt someone will create an army of robots to kill us all.(1 vote)
- what if AI turns against us?(2 votes)
- Right now, AI is only at a stage where it's very limited and is only used for very specific tasks, such as search engines, or social media algorithms. For someone to create an AI that could actually harm someone would be a little ridiculous, at least right now. In the future it's possible that someone could create an AI that's sole purpose is to harm people, but that all depends on the people as a species, and has nothing to do with AI being bad.(3 votes)
- can you make a machine that learn emotions.(2 votes)
- There are machines that "interpret" emotions because of the type of data it's been trained on. These are often LLM style AI that have some psychology data. But they cannot understand or feel emotion, currently.(2 votes)
- how create the words(2 votes)
- Do you think the AI can program full-scale video games? I am a non-official programmer, and once in a while I have sometimes tried to make AI program full-scale video games. If AI can be so powerful, why can't good tools like chat gpt program full scale video games?(1 vote)
- Yes and no. It can write snippets of code very effectively and maybe even small scale programs like calculators and such. One of the pitfalls of AI is 'hallucinations' where it will dream up things that it doesn't necessarily have an answer for, use outdated code from old training, poor internet references, improper sites or sites and sources that it straight up made up. Coding a game is an extremely complex endeavor. More than likely, you would build most of the framework, game loop, logic et. al. for the game and then use AI to supplement your knowledge via helping you use more efficient data structures, better algorithms, lint your code, etc. etc.(2 votes)
- Is machine learning really a type of AI or is it rather a stepping stone to AI?(1 vote)
- Yes, you're right. it's a stepping stone towards future AI which will use machine learning to even more advanced things.(2 votes)
- Wait, they used Ai for avengers: endgame? I thought that was the actual guy!(1 vote)
- Yeah, hollywood already uses AI correction to improve CGI graphics!
Happy Learning!(2 votes)
- Do we (humans) frequently use machine learning as a way of learning?(1 vote)
- Yes! As she said in the video above, machine learning comes with trial and error. The same way that humans learn things!(1 vote)

[Music] My name is Ali Flores and I'm a product manager at Alexa. My name is Dr. Chelsea Haupt, I work at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence and I work on an AI-powered academic search engine. All around you computers are making decisions and those decisions affect your daily life. When you do an internet search, or scroll through your news feed computers decide what you see. Computers can already recognize your face and understand your voice. And soon they'll be driving cars, and detecting diseases even better than humans. So, how is any of this possible? You may have heard about something called AI, or artificial intelligence, true artificial intelligence is decades away there's a type of AI called machine learning that is here today. It's a type of AI you probably interact with every day without even knowing it. And it has the opportunity to help us tackle some of the world's biggest challenges. Machine learning is how computers recognize patterns, and make decisions without being explicitly programmed. What's so exciting is that it's a completely different way to program a computer than what we've ever done before. With machine learning, instead of programming a computer step-by-step, you can program a computer to learn just like you learn through trial and error, and lots of practice. Learning comes from experience, and that's true for machine learning too. In this case, experience means lots and lots of data. Machine learning can take in any kind of data: images, video, audio, or text and begin to recognize patterns in that data once it learns to recognize patterns in the data it can also learn to make predictions based on those patterns, like noticing the difference between an image of a car and an image of a bicycle. AI and machine learning are playing a bigger and bigger role in society at large and shaping all of our futures. That's why it's so important to learn how it works with some hands-on experience. Remember AI is like any tool. First you get the knowledge, then you get the power
