- How can one settle fully on the career he or she wants to do? Plus how can one know? Especially for a High school student?(3 votes)
- A high school student probably can't settle on a career that they want to do. AND THAT'S GOOD.
High school is not designed to fit you for a career, it is designed to fit you to be a moral and productive citizen.
Even the first two years of college education are not designed to fit you for a career. They are to make you a well-rounded person.
In the 3rd and 4th years of college, you narrow things down. But STILL, you don't need to settle fully on the career you want to do. You become a well-rounded person with a focus on a field.
In my 20s, I did a LOT of different things, and spent a LOT of time in schools. I didn't settle into one thing until I was 30, and even then, it was a broad field within which I did a lot of different stuff.
I'm old now, and very happy that I didn't settle into ANYTHING that I did between the ages of 16 and 30.
So, Reax,.(8 votes)

- Good evening I am a current Penn Foster student I am looking forward to pursing a education in Natural resources, Upon extensive hours of research I discovered the need of a effective study .
My question is how do I collaberate my high school with my studies here?(3 votes) - Is there no place in here to show you how to become a mechanical engineer?(3 votes)

Hi, I'm Sal Khan, founder of the Khan Academy, a not-for-profit with a mission of providing a free world-class education for anyone, anywhere. And many of you all might associate us as a place you might go for help with math, or science, or world history. But what we're announcing today is a partnership that goes beyond that. That allows you to help navigate your life. Since 2013, we've had a partnership with Bank of America around financial literacy. And what we're now doing, is we're extending that so it's about financial literacy and career. And what's exciting, whether you are a recent college grad, or someone who is mid-career, we are going and interviewing people at every stage of their career and every walk of life and asking them the questions that we all wanna know but it's hard to get answers to. How much money do people make? What are the career paths? What are the decisions that they wish they had done differently? What are the real pros and cons of different career tracks? And so we are launching that with Bank of America, the career videos, the interviews, plus, in context with that, we have all of the content on financial literacy. The videos, and the articles. And so stay tuned, this is just the beginning. We're going to keep adding more and more content, and we look forward to going on this career and life skills adventure with all of you, and hopefully we can all make
