This section is specifically designed to provide educators with engaging extension activities that elevate students’ critical thinking skills, adhering to the higher levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
Extension activities
Deepen and apply the learning from this unit by exploring some of our suggested extension activities!
Designed for individuals or groups, they can be adapted to accommodate different levels of difficulty, time, and resources.
Compare, contrast, and choose!
Research and compare different credit cards and offers from various sources, such as banks, credit unions, online lenders, or retailers. Use the information and criteria from the unit to evaluate and choose the best option for your needs and goals. Create a presentation or a report that explains your choice and its advantages and disadvantages.
Interview: Personal credit stories
Conduct a survey or an interview with someone who has experience with using credit, such as a family member, a friend, a teacher, or a professional. Ask them about their challenges and successes with using credit, and how they manage their credit. Summarize and share your findings and insights with your classmates or teacher.
Game time!
Participate in a game or a competition that tests your knowledge and skills of consumer credit, such as the Credit Score Activity. Challenge yourself and your classmates or friends to see who can achieve the best score or performance.
Real world relevance
Explore and analyze the trends and issues related to consumer credit in the local, national, or global context, such as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of fintech and innovation, the gaps and inequalities in access and affordability, or the implications for social and environmental justice.
