- Unlike some other languages, English does not have a separate set of pronouns to use when addressing people formally. The word "you" by itself doesn't imply formal or informal, like how in Spanish "Usted" would indicate formal. Instead, you'll have to rely on context clues to determine whether the dialogue is formal or not.

- in my opinion the old and ancient paragraphs often give formal tone and the casual things that can be discussed with family and friends give informal tone(1 vote)

The Quick Guide says, "Does it describe a scientific experiment or use technical terms? Then we may want to choose plain, straightforward language".
