- im rly bad at the reading comprehension. like for literature, i literally cant read it because its language is so advanced. also for social science. is there anything i can do to practice?(39 votes)
- One thing you could do is when reading passages, try using Grammarly or a thesaurus to help you understand the vocabulary and then try to incorporate it into your daily lives(23 votes)
- Hi! I'm really bad at comprehension when i am time-pressured. Do you guys have tips on reading fast but effective?(15 votes)
- Reading fast is probably not the right solution, as it may cause you to miss important aspects of the passage. Instead, try not to think about the time and read carefully.(17 votes)
- I have near-perfect scores for the math section and I actually know how to repeat the same type of questions to practice and eventually get better. But with the reading section no matter how much I do it over and over its just random! What do I do to improve?(16 votes)
- can you tell the secret of perfect score in math.(4 votes)
- Hello, I'm trying to get better in the reading comprehensions, but I seem to be needing a lot of guidance. I have watched all the videos, but I need more help. Is there anything else I can do?(5 votes)
- One way to get better at the reading section is by taking your time when you are reading the passage. I am a slow reader, so I spend about 5-7 minutes reading the passage. However, in when I reach the question I finish them fairly quickly. If you take your time on the passage then you will have a better understanding of it which will then help you to answer the questions quickly and accurately.(18 votes)
- Where can I get scientific articles that are at the same depth as that of SAT social science? I'm really poor in that(9 votes)
- There is actually a practice place where you can do all types of question on SAT. Their will definitely be social science. Just got to courses. Then click on SAT. Then on the top there will be something called practice.(2 votes)
- how long should i give myself to read every passage?
is it better to read slower and take a chance of missing other questions?
tysm for all your help!(7 votes)- to be honest you should have more than enough time to finish because you should never go back check your answers. Always check the question on the spot and do not go back to the problem because that will just confuse you.(4 votes)
- Hi so I have extreme test anxiety so any tips?? I know this isn't for a grade but still timed tests give me anxiety and i'm shaking nervously because its next wednesday so yeah I feel like I could do good if like we could finish it at our own time so sorry for rambling have a good day, evening, or night!(6 votes)
- I know It´s kinda late by now but I suggest during these situations to calm yourself down by giving yourself time to relax. If its a day or two before the test, take a break and don´t think about the test at all. Use your time to do things you like and take your mind off of it. Stressing about the test can actually affect your mind and most likely to your performance on the test. Also, a method I personally use is to chew gum during the test. It helps me focus more and kinda relaxes me when I feel nervous.(4 votes)
- does the SAT subject ask things about figurative language?(6 votes)
- So, do you guys have any tips for studying? I've done 40 hours of studying so far for the SAT I'm going to 10th and I'm planning on studying for 200+ hours and I got 1100 on the SAT so far. Should this be able to improve my score by 300 points or more?(3 votes)
- if you want a higher score than keep studying...the right way.(3 votes)
- How do I focus on the understanding of passage as well as reading it fast?(2 votes)
- When someone asks a question like this, I always respond with the simplest method: Read for fun. This may seem counterintuitive, because, you're in high school! You don't have time for stuff like that! But really, reading for fun, and reading when you can, will always help. Make sure you read some challenging material, like non-fiction, historical, scientific essays and the like. The more you read, the better your understanding of the passages will be, the faster you'll get, and the stronger your vocabulary level will be.
Hope this helps.(4 votes)
