Problem

The apparatus for a double-slit experiment is set up by placing the screen D=1.0 m from the slits, and using a light source of wavelength, λ=600 nm.
The distance between the slits, d=1.0 mm.
What is the path difference, Δ, at a distance, x=1.8 mm, from the center of the screen?
Note: x=3000λ, and Δ=S1P−S2P.
