- Isn't Curiosity more advanced than the other two rovers?(12 votes)
- yeah, because NASA had to make some technical upgrades on it's robots to have a better understanding of what mars is(2 votes)
- So I know Spirit's mission was ended, but what about Opportunity? Is Opportunity still running even though Curiosity is there?(6 votes)
- Oppurtunity is now officially dead R.I.P Oppy :((1 vote)
- Can anyone see Mars from Earth?(7 votes)
- Yep, look into the sky on a clear night; if you're not in a light polluted area, you'll see it - it looks like a very red star.(5 votes)
- I am amazed that these probes were able to endure 5 years of abuse! I wonder what is the longest running man made object out there?(4 votes)
- Oppurtunity. And as of 2016 it is still functioning.
EDIT:make that 2016 2017(4 votes)
- So they just leave all the rovers on Mars?(5 votes)
- Problem is, Russia isn't going to want our broken Mars rover.(2 votes)
- What was it like being there?(4 votes)
- what if a rover falls off a cliff or something? Will it be able to still work?(2 votes)
- There aren't a lot of cliffs on Mars and probably none near the rovers. The landing sites are chosen specifically due to their flatness. However, if for some reason the rovers are flipped over or their wheels don't touch the ground, then they cant move. If they experience a hard enough impact, their electronics might be damaged which would disable them. Falling off a cliff would very likely destroy or at least disable any of the rovers.(3 votes)
- is NASA planning a space mission even with a robot anytime in the future?(2 votes)
- yes mars 2020,a robotic rover is being built and is planned to be launched in 2020(2 votes)
- Is Opportunity and Spirit still running? I heard Spirit was stuck in deep sand and could not get out.(1 vote)
- Opportunity is still running. Spirit did get stuck and was unable to orient itself in a favorable way to survive the Martian winter. Spirit was powered down to try to preserve energy for the winter but it was unable to be awakened again after.(3 votes)
- Has a rover ever landed on the moon?(1 vote)
