## Written form

**Written form**is a way to write numbers using only words.

### Example

Let's write $\blueD7{,}\purpleD2\greenD2\maroonD9$ in expanded form.

Thousands | Hundreds | Tens | Ones |
---|---|---|---|

$\blueD7$ | $\purpleD2$ | $\greenD2$ | $\maroonD9$ |

$7229=\blueD{7}\text{ thousands}$ $+\,\purpleD{2}\text{ hundreds}+$ $\greenD{2}\text{ tens}+\maroonD9\text{ ones}$

$7229$ in written form is $\text{\blueD{seven thousand},\purpleD{ two hundred}\greenD{ twenty-}\maroonD{nine}}$
