We're going to stick our toes into the proverbial waters of geometry! For those of you that are visual learners you'll love this topic. We'll examine all kinds of lines and shapes in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimensions. Topics we'll cover include the coordinate plane, plotting points, quadrilaterals, parallelograms, trapezoids, and rhombi (plural for a rhombus). Start your engines!

How can we communicate exactly where something is in two dimensions? In this tutorial, we cover the basics of the coordinate plane and graphing points.

Represent real world problems by graphing points in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane, and interpret coordinate values of points in the context of the situation.

Not all things with four sides and 90 degree angles are squares or rectangles! Sometimes the angles in these 4-sided shapes are less than (or greater than) 90 degrees, causing them to have a slightly odd shape. These are called quadrilaterals and come in a few different varieties. In this tutorial, you'll learn about them. Common Core Standards: 5.G.B.3, 5.G.B.4
