Writing fractions as decimals

To convert a fraction to a decimal, we divide the numerator by the denominator.
If we have a mixed number, the whole number stays to the left of the decimal.
Example 1: start fraction, 2, divided by, 5, end fraction
start fraction, start color #11accd, 2, end color #11accd, divided by, start color #1fab54, 5, end color #1fab54, end fraction, equals, start color #11accd, 2, end color #11accd, divided by, start color #1fab54, 5, end color #1fab54
\begin{aligned} &~~ \, 0.{4} \\ \greenD5&\overline{\Big)\blueD2.0} \phantom{0000000}& \\ &\underline{\, \mbox{-}0}\,\,\,{\!\downarrow}&\\ &\phantom{0}{2\,\,0}& \\ &\underline{\, \mbox{-}2\,\,0}&\\ &\phantom{00}{\,\,0}&\\ \end{aligned}
start fraction, start color #11accd, 2, end color #11accd, divided by, start color #1fab54, 5, end color #1fab54, end fraction, equals, 0, point, 4
Example 2: 3, start fraction, 7, divided by, 8, end fraction
start color #f9685d, 3, end color #f9685d stays to the left of the decimal. Then, we divide start color #11accd, 7, end color #11accd by start color #1fab54, 8, end color #1fab54.
start fraction, start color #11accd, 7, end color #11accd, divided by, start color #1fab54, 8, end color #1fab54, end fraction, equals, start color #11accd, 7, end color #11accd, divided by, start color #1fab54, 8, end color #1fab54
\begin{aligned} &~~ \, 0.{875} \\ \greenD8&\overline{\Big)\blueD7.000} \phantom{0000000}& \\ &\underline{\, \mbox{-}0}\,\,\,{\!\downarrow}&\\ &\phantom{0}{7\,\,0}& \\ &\underline{\, \mbox{-}6\,\,4}{\,\,\!\downarrow}&\\ &{\, \ \ \ \ \mbox{ }6\,0}&\\ &\underline{\, \ \ \ \ \mbox{ }5\,6\,\,}{\,\!\downarrow}&\\ &{\,\,\,\,\,\,\, \ \ \ \mbox{ }4\,0}&\\ &\underline{\, \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \mbox{ }4\,0}{}&\\ &\phantom{001}{\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,0}&\\ \\ \end{aligned}
start color #f9685d, 3, end color #f9685d, start fraction, start color #11accd, 7, end color #11accd, divided by, start color #1fab54, 8, end color #1fab54, end fraction, equals, 3, point, 875
