- No, the connection to the Queen of Sheba reflects Zimbabwe's racist past. When the British controlled the area they promoted theories that the creators of Great Zimbabwe could not have possibly been African. One theory was that the Queen of Sheba created it. It is unfortunate that this inaccurate/problematic information is included on this site without critical historical information. - South Africans did dance. Quite a lot actually. There are several tribes within South Africa and all have their own cultural dances and Art forms. The Ndebele tribe have a rich art and dance History that still influences art in South Africa today.(4 votes)
