Basically, a college offers undergraduate degrees, whereas a university offers both graduate and undergraduate degrees.(9 votes)

Anything is Possible don't I am not Dyslexic but I do have a chronic lifelong illness and I am a life long learner many people who are dyslexic can graduate and take college courses sometimes colleges can offer you help talk to a career counselor ,teacher or physician who may be able to give you the proper guidance to what colleges offer such programs here is a list of Famous People with the Gift of Dyslexia http://www.dyslexia.com/famous.htm.(6 votes)

Does anybody have information about the University of Nottingham? I'd done a bit of research on it's creative writing major (I wanted to be a writer and I figured if I took this major, I'd have a trade to fall back on like being a teacher), but I'm not sure whether their acceptance rate's high or low. (My grades aren't exactly at the top).(5 votes)
They're a pretty solid college from what I understand (had to to a little research). You won't get name recognition in the UK unless you go to Oxford or Cambridge but writers aren't looking for that so you should be fine. Normally I'd say going to the States is best but the public teaching and creative/stylistic writing industries are quite literally a joke so I'd say Nottingham is a good choice but apply to more than just there.(2 votes)

you certainly can succeed. first thing that u have to do is.. just be regular, if u start studying day before xm, it will be tough. i will not suggest u to study all the time.. but each day.. u prepare urself for studying and study at-least 2 hour... once u start understanding ur coursework, u will definitely enjoy your course. and the things that are done with joy, will definitely lead to u succeed(5 votes)

If you want to become an entrepreneur, I would highly suggest majoring in Business, Finance, Marketing, and Economics.
Additively, when deciding which colleges to go to I would reccomend going to Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, & University of California, Los Angeles to become an entrepreneur!(2 votes)

- Because most schools will not have a specific petroleum engineer major, you're probably going to want to major in chemical engineering or physics.

- Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I am a 9th grader and I have been looking into SAT and College Admissions. My dream is to get into MIT (everyone is allowed to dream big). Since the founder of Khan Academy is a graduate from MIT I thought this was the best place to ask my question. When I looked in Niche a lot of students with a perfect 1600 SAT score and a very good GPA (above 4.0) got into MIT. This makes sense, but a lot of people with a 1600 SAT score and a very good GPA still get rejected. So here's my question: how do some students get into MIT but other students don't with the same SAT score and High School GPA?(3 votes)
- Hi Varshith! That was a very good question you asked! So even though many students do have similar test scores and high GPA's, many top selective universities (such as MIT) look for how well your Common App essay is and your teacher reccomendations. Furthermore, when the scores are really close with one another, colleges will look into what types of extracurriculars you did and how deep involoved you have gotten. For example, if 2 students got the same standardized test scores and had a lot of extracurriculars, but one student just was a member of their club while the other applicant was the president of that club, the university would pick the student with more involvement. But I agree, even though many students get near-perfect or perfect standardized test scores, there are always many other factors to consider. So since you want to get into MIT (a top selective school) I would suggest you try to differentiate yourself from other applicants by either getting more deeply involved in extracurriculars and/or write a stellar Common App essay on why MIT should particular choose you as their student. college affordable for you to make that an option for anybody. We need people from all walks
of life enrolled in college, so that's our job in
the financial aid office to make those resources available to make it possible for you. - First generation
college students, I think, in many cases are unsure
whether or not they can compete and they can be successful in college, but I'm here to say that every student can because we have the support services to make sure that you will. - So you should aim for the stars. You should go for those amazing schools that you've heard of, but maybe know nothing about. You should maybe look at those schools that you've never heard of and need to do a little bit more research. - If you're a low income student, if you're a first generation student and you feel like college is
just such a foreign environment I encourage you to challenge that thought and to jump in because these institutions need your voices, they need your input and you'll benefit from the experience if you're an active participate in it.
