By combining adaptive technology and instant feedback, Khan Academy empowers learners to take ownership of their own progress. Every Khan Academy account is both a learner account and a "coach" account, so all the features available to learners are also available to you as a coach.

For math, learners can use their personalized dashboard to access the content most meaningful to them. This dashboard adapts to each learner’s level and recommends the skills they are ready for.

Learners can also open the LEARN menu to browse all subjects on Khan Academy and chose the content that interests them.

As they progress, learners earn points and badges, which are showcased on their profile.

We're continually improving our site to better support our users. To stay up to date about the latest changes, subscribe to our blog and sign up for the email newsletters that interest you.

The best way to familiarize yourself with our learner features is to experience them for yourself, so feel free to open the LEARN menu and start exploring!

As a student who overcame dyslexia, I understand that not all kids learn the same way and at the same pace, yet it is crucial for all students to master concepts before they can apply those skills and move on to more challenging subjects. Khan Academy is a terrific innovative resource for students, parents and teachers to supplement or advance instruction so all students are engaged at an appropriate pace and gain mastery in any subject. It’s also completely free and easily accessible so learning can happen anytime and anywhere. I’m proud that Vermont accepts Khan Academy as a supplementary aid for its students through the VT Virtual Learning Collaborative and that CCV [Community College of Vermont] partners with Khan Academy to enhance learning and ensure that students are prepared to succeed in their college coursework.
