The 2010 Mental Boot Camp is an intensive, one-week program focused on accelerating the learning of the some of the San Francisco Peninsula's highest potential young minds. It is directed at rising 6th-12th graders who demonstrate the motivation and ability to deepen their understanding of math, science and engineering. Students will be mentored through programming and modeling projects to better understand natural phenomena and hone their engineering skills. Although this is not an SAT-prep course, SAT-type problems will be heavily used and the students will be encouraged to take the SAT to assess their overall progress. The heavy thinking will be interspersed with physical activity to ensure the flow of blood to both the body and brain (left and right sides).

The Boot Camp will run from July 6th to July 9th, 2010 from Monday-Friday, 9am to 4pm (with 8:30am-9am dropoff and 4pm-4:30pm pick-up) at:

Corte Madera School
4575 Alpine Road
Portola Valley, CA 94028

Tuition for the program is $400 for the week (healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks included). 100% scholarships are available for highly qualified students whose families have a gross annual income below $50k.

To apply, please send an email expressing interest to bootcamp@khanacademy.org including the student's name, age and location (either parent's work or home).
